Day 7 on my 14 shipped BLRW. These were detached when they arrived.. good packaging, etc. Dry hatch. 11 of 14 appear to have veining and movement, 1 looks clear and the other 2 are questionable (either they have veining and I can't see it, or possibly early quitters).
just 2 weeks to go!![]()
ooh I cant waitmy frizzled ameraucans ( EE's) are pipping officially due tomorrow
cool! I had to buy a hatcher incubator recently tooI am doing something I usually don't try to do...I am doing a staggered hatch. I bought a second LG to use as just an incubator so my first one can be my hatcher. That way when it's time to put eggs in lockdown I can just move them to the second incubator and not try to deal with hatching eggs while others are still incubating. I have 6 days to go until the first eggs are ready to go into lockdown. I'm a tad nervous about moving them over since it's the first time to do this but I really want to see how this works out. So far most of the eggs look good. I've been pulling eggs out if they look like they are clear or look like quitters and replacing them with new eggs. I haven't have very many I needed to pull out so my flocks fertility rate is up from what it was a month ago! I am building my Barnevelder flock so most of these I will grow out and keep the best of the bunch. Looking forward to seeing what I get! It's going to be a long week!
