So much hatching and birthing! Very happy for y'all with chicks, pips, peeps and pups! I'm hanging in there with lockdown officially starting Sunday.

Congrats to all who have pipping and new chickies.

I woke up to 2 Cream Legbars hatched (1 boy, 1 girl) 2 more are zipping and 1 more has a pip. 6/7 made it to lockdown and these were shipped eggs.

The one with the bloody mess out it's backside died this morning.

We had a good idea he wouldn't make it, but still sorry to see it go.

Thankfully my incubator is full and we're hatching chicks out weekly. Next week I have 4 goose eggs coming out, and when I candled them they all did the Elvis dance.

Aww sorry to hear you lost that one. I didn't think it would make it, but still sad...

Still nothing! One Pip it has made a little progress with some chirping. But haven't heard anything from it for awhile but no others are doing anything. I have 27 that made it to lockdown. I know they were alive last night so I guess we will see??

How long ago did it pip? If it's been more that 12-15 hours with no more progress I'd have to chip a tiny bit of shell away to see if it's breathing? Just me, but it's what I would do... Good luck, hope they are ok

X2 If it's been about that long w/ out anything happening-> I swipe them right out & put a hole big enough to see into the air sac section for proof of life

Here is what hatched out for m last night!




My chihuahua MIni had 4 little babies Hard to tell by they pic but they weigh about 4-6 oz each and they are FAT.!
Mini wieghs 4 1/2 lbs

Then today had a BIG suprise

Opened the bator to turn the eggs...and here in an egg carton empty egg hole is a cheeping baby chick all dry and ready t o go!!Have no idea when he hatched! day1-18 bator too.
Somehow i left 2 eggs ready t o hatch in the 1-18 day bator..the other egg was pipping! .
What the ?
Gues with the puppy excitment and no sleep i just missed him when i turn the eggs this morning.Yes it was this afternoon I was turning and found him.

In the lockdown bator are 3 dates of hatches
2 are popping the babies out like popcorn. Just when i thought they ALL were duds !Here they come.The thrid hatch is not due yet 5 out 4 pipped sao far if yudont coutthe early fluffy butt inthe other bator. same date.

Its a GOOD day today!!! Pics coming.

first gosling hatched on our property!

A baby goose! Why do they have to be so darn cute?! Just like baby ducks! Just cute! lol...Big baby there.

I have my first three silkies ever!
Not the best hatch, but considering the weather the eggs were shipped through, (My fault) I am happy to have any.
So far I have two black, and one partridge.

I love the eyes of a silkie.
