I'll be back in a while after I eat something- but I had to just jump on here and say I won the

eggs I wanted!!! These are the last ones I wanted, colombian wyandotte bantams YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Can ya'll tell I'm just a little bit excited? Mercy I can't even stand myself right now

Oh yea, and BOTH my frizzle babies are hatched! The first is black, has little white tips on it's wings & the other looks blue. I'll post pics when they fluff. Can't tell yet if they will be frizzle or smooth, but white they are still wet their fluff, does not look like normal chick fluff. I do see on the black one that the wing 'fluff' is curling every which way.... We'll see-

So happy for you! Can't wait to see how they grow.

Just candled my eggs and the ones that were set two days later look a LOT like the older ones...so they might hatch early, who knows! Lockdown starts Tuesday, and I'll be turning on the hatch cam in case we have any earlybirds

I just candled too. Had to throw out the prettiest blue eggs. The dad didn't do his job! Got some mixed eggs from a friend. The dad would have been a buff silkie, or a NN. Interesting either way..pretty sure it was her silkie boy.

This month next month on and on.Hatches LOL
Bad as me..ihave 6 chis and ...4 English Mastiffs and about 30 chickens now.(dog AND bird over kill i know)
Minnie was bad,wasnt supposed to happen...she opened the door when she was in heat and went in with my tiny male B while iwas washing dishes .barked for me when i ran in they were hooked up already!! As if to say to me "see what i did"?
DANG IT!!
Oh well i have previous puppy parents who have friends who are great to their dogs and are recommened to me (only ppl i let adopt my puppys ) ...so 4 are sold once born Its just she has to have c sections and i worry for her.

I bred mine to my mom's male, just once b/c mom wanted a pup- but once they got here, DH wanted all 3 puppies! Needless to say mom did not get a pup & we kept them all. But then I had everyone 'fixed' so we won't have any surprises LOL!

Yep love the pellets- Thank you again for telling us about them Brook! And yes they are in water. It's a corner litter pan for bunnies & ferrets that I got a TSC. It works perfectly for the baby ducks to 'swim' in.

umm yeah....I already want a 4th incubator...and I cant even KEEP them!!! LOL!!!

Woot woot! Do you know which frizzles they were? She had like 6 different crosses or something right? I hope they both end up with the frizzle feathers!!


It's hard to keep chatting without any eggs in the bator! 1 week,,... I need to hold out 1 week, then I'm back in the game. Why did I have to break my broody? I could have eggs under her right now! But... I'm a momma hen to her too, and she needed to gain some weight back & get healthier so she could start laying her own eggs again. Next time she goes broody though, I'm setting eggs under her! It should be warmer outside & that will be better for her and the eggs.

That's the only thing I never liked about letting them go broody- the weight loss. I know it's natural, but I always worry they don't eat enough! And geez Maah, you can talk to us weather you have eggs cooking or not! You better!
And yes there were supposed to be silkie, wyandotte, polish & sultan frizzles. I have pretty much ruled out the sultan & polish. Got to be either wyandotte or silkie. I am thinking they are silkie (which wouldn't that make them sizzles instead of frizzle?) anyway- they look like sugar peeps (silkie) when she hatched except for color. And they are very 'swirly' looking, the 'fluff' on them I mean looks swirl...

I really believe we will someday, see something on a television series on addictions..and yes, hatching eggs will be there.
