March Hatch-Along Thread- Come Hatch With Us!!!!!

Holy cow there are SO may people locking down on Tuesday, it's going to be a race to the finish! Hahaha

My hatch cam is going live on Tuesday! I think I'm going to have some early hatchers...here's hoping!

Well, tomorrow is lockdown for me. My last hatch was a disaster so hoping this one is better. I havent candled again but think I have 10-12 eggs the should/might hatch. Most are white silkies and maybe a couple partridge silkies. I set 22 eggs but some were very old so only 15 started to develop. Had a couple bloodrings and a couple that look like late quiters. I am using a Brinsea Eco 20 for the first time . Keeping my fingers crossed!

GOOD LUCK!

Hi Ya'll

this is my first time setting eggs. I have small incubator, only holds 7 eggs, so I started this morning. My chickens are a mother daughter project. Figure this is a way for my nearly 12 year old daughter and I to share something without arguing

. We set all types of eggs including Swedish, Silkie (maybe a Showgirl) EE and couple of EE that may be Frizzies. I love them all so I just hope for a good hatch. We will see in 21 days.

PS Sorry to hear about the tooth. Hope you feel better soon.

You guys will have a great time!!
Although the more I am on here I realize there is a hatching bug!!

Look out its contagious ! I have my first set of eggs in now and have 10 days left of which seems like forever and these were the only ones I planned on hatching and after joining here I am feeling like I am catching something!!

Well I candled all 35 eggs this evening for the second time I saw movement in all real well except one which I will Hang on to to make sure !! Thanks for all the advice on here guys!!

Just realised in my previous post I noted the set date as 1st February! Duh! It should read 1st March of course. I really need to get more sleep!!!

By the way, the eggs I've set are a mix of 12 buff Brahma and light Brahma.

I'm having so much trouble with fluctuating temperatures. Does anyone know if periods of 100 F in the first few days of incubating will kill chicks? I'm using a small forced air incubator. Thanks
