Which ones are pipped? Looked at your stream but can't figure out which ones. Can you point them out directional like a clock for me? Like the egg at 11:30, and egg at 3:00... etc.

I have found myself obsessed with your hatch. It's holding me over until I can get my own going! :)

Oh good gravy!! I MIGHT be able to figure it out now. LMAO! Actually, that's perfect.

I actually had one of them figured out!! I was sure I had seen it moving. :) Go me! Ooh.... and go you & babies! LOL

Hello everyone, this is my first hatch. I am using a home made incubator. I got up this morning and before heading to work, checked out the incubator, and 2 chicks have pipped and others are rocking. Very excited. They seem to be early though, I set the eggs on the 16th of last month, and wasn't expecting any action until tomorrow afternoon.

You can make little boots for their feet out of bandage (I find the foam or cloth style works better than the plastic band-aid style). You should change them every day or two as chicks tend to grow very fast.

Also, by taping the toes so they are positioned and spaced where they need to be, they should be good in about a week or so. It shouldn't take a month to correct it.

You should name the one in the back Star, because the pip hole looks just like a star!

Anne Marie,
Hi,
I am sure there will be many suggestions about cleaning. This what I do.
I wash with warm water and liquid dawn. rinse then
I use bleach.deluted in water..not sure of the measuments.I put about 1 teaspoon in a cup of water
then wipe everything down with a clean rag dipped in the bleach solution..I let this set at least 5 minutes..........
I rinse well with clear water........If it is sunny, I set the incubater outside to dry.
If not, I use a hairdryer to dry............then, It's ready to go.

Hope someone has a better description of measurments for bleach.I just eyeball it.

Good Luck
