thanx u guys for all the help

So glad to hear it.

Does anyone remember the picture I posted a few days ago of the funky egg? Well, I'm going to go ahead and do an eggtopsy tonight since it's day 10 and there was no movement or development in the egg. Also, egg #5 looks similar too it. I'm going to take pictures and try and to figure out what was wrong with it.

That is so cool! I had no idea one could breed them like that! LOL

I am super excited! A "hen" sizzle I had given a friend turned out to be a rooster, and they let me set a weeks worth just to see what we ended up with. Daddy of the sizzle is a pure blue Cochin/Silkie cross with Frizzled feathers, and his son who ended up fertilizing these girls turned out bright blue with a red head and neck.

The eggs are from everything from Turkens down to D'uccles, so it is really neat to see all these eggs hatching into feather legged little chicks, with 50% frizzling. In two weeks it will be interesting to see who Frizzles. They are going to fun to grow out in the pasture for my eating eggs! All of my flocks are all in breeding pens and every egg is sold to hatch or being hatched by me, so I need a fun mutt flock for my eating eggs.

Thanks Roxanne...gonna go look for it now! I thought about trying the double box method but I'll have to check that vid out and see how he does it...I think I should let PugBug have a say in it too though. Pug if you have a preferred method, let me know and I'll try my best! I lost a little buff duckling tonight..

Poor thing. It was just SO TINY! Cross your fingers, I've got another lone Buff duckling hatching now and it's in the smallest egg I've EVER seen as far as Call ducks go. If this little one makes it, it's going to be teeny tiny!

Hello there fellow March hatchers. I got 42 eggs in the incubator right now set to hatch on the twenty-first. All the eggs are at least half cornish. My white laced red cornish named Fireball is already a proud papa of ten chicks and he isn't even a year old. It gonna be a real suprise when they hatch because I cant be sure of everything I have set. I got a variety of hens here. So its going to be exciting.
My girls:
4 Dark Cornish
2 WLR Cornish
3 Dominques
2 Buckeyes
1 Rhode Island White
1 White Rock
1 Buff Orpinton (Fatty)
2 New Hampshire Red
1 Silver Laced Wyandotte
2 Delaware x Buff Orpington
1 Delaware x New Hampshire Red (Freckles)
1 Delaware x Silver Laced Wyandotte
1 Silver Kraienkoppe
1 Partridge Chantecler (Patty)

Patty,(Hatched 4/20/2012) went broody in October and hatched 8 eggs on Thanksgiving and then went broody again in January and hatched 2 more on Groundhogs day.

All her chicks have made it to date but she isn't laying now so no eggs of hers are in the incubator.

I'm hoping a few of my girls go broody before the end of the month. Their hatch rate is so much better than mine.

May all the eggs you set hatch.
