Is this what I will be seeing if mine hatch Brook? They are soo blue. :)) What is GSBR? Congratulations!

Yup they are the same eggs. Some are light blue others are a darker blue and some are black. I really want a splash to hatch out. Keeping my fingers crossed for one. GSBR is Good Shepard Barred Rock. They are an old heritage line of Barred Rocks.

Hiya folks

Well, March has come in with a whimper in the PNW and some hatchings it seems! Well done everyone, they look great.
I hatch a hatch start this morning. Some of my Ameraucanas ... well, one anyway with another pipping through, but a ways from zippering the shell I'm afraid.

done entirely in the home made incubator, not sure if it would work, but seems to have at least for this one.

And, if you remember, I hatched out some turkeys last week Monday, they are now 1 week old and loving attention.

A splash? That would be great. I have been looking for a splash something for my flock this year. I actually had a few cochin eggs sent to me, she says, she gets splash pretty often. They are in the Easter Hatch A Long. Waiting for you to post a splash!

Hey you! Nice looking turkeys. Can't forget doing a few. They make cute little babies, and grow up ugly. That's just me..lol..the babies I hatched were so fun to watch until the guy that gave them to me to hatch came and got them. They whistle instead of chirp. Fat little bellies when they hatch, and have to helped up a few times.
So, you have a home made bator that your are finding out works! Good for you. That little chick looks familiar. I think I will post my miracle baby here, and see what you think on the sex..I'm thinking girl? Going to get a picture..
Here she is today with another one of yours. I wanted this color from one of those eggs, being a girl of course, and, I wanted one like my very first EE..like the one shown. Pretty sure that's a girl.

She does have a little bit of brown on her back.

She's still smaller than the others. I love her..her!
