March Hatch-Along Thread- Come Hatch With Us!!!!!

I am new to this thread, but I have staggered hatches this month. Dates set were the 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 14th.

Eggs I set were:
3 Bantam Chocolate Orpingtons, 10 Mille Fleur Bantam Cochins, 19 Standard Black Cochins, 6 Standard Blue Cochins, 4 Standard BBS Orpingtons, 2 Welsummers, 2 Buckeyes, 4 Minorcas, 24 Standard Frizzle Cochins, 4 Standard Golden Laced Cochins, 8 Standard Buff Cochins, 4 Bantam Black Sumatras.

Whew! Never thought the list was going to end!

Am so enjoying catching up on everyone's hatches! Yea for y'all! And the pictures... swoon! So cute.

I hope to be joining y'all tomorrow with some mallards. Out of 7 eggs, all are moving, 5 are pipped with 2 of those halfway zipped and one other with more progress. And 2 are cheeping like crazy. Checked the OEGB eggs and 1 of those had pipped too. Guess all that duck cheeping got her with the program. Can't wait to see what's out tomorrow morning!

Well the babies are eating and drinking well. We aren't planning on staying as long as we thought. So the babes won't be without us to long. My sister will be here and ive given her everything I can to prepare her, shes not a chicken person. Ive got them all set up the best I can.

Really looking forward to the trip just wish it was going to be nicer in MO. that's the main reason why we are coming back early so my sister doesn't have a mental breakdown from all the chicken chores. :gig

Well off to bed have an early start tomorrow.

Hoping to see a pip by tomorrow afternoon. Maybe even morning. I usually have the silkie eggs hatch early. There I got, counting my pips before they pip.

For some reason this hatch in my bator is really stretching out in duration. My broody started (my eggs) the same day as my bator and she hatched right on day 21. The bator eggs (shipped) started on day 22 and today is day 23. Two hatched yesterday, one today, one pipped this morning, still not zipped but is alive. The others nothing yet. AND I need to get ready for lockdown on more eggs on Tuesday.

B uff Orp Not sure how
They were all fine running around but it was pouring rain 2 inches deep every place and she was near a wire that goes to one of the coops not sure if she bit it or stepped on it and it killed her or what happened she wasnt hurt or burnt just dead.
My yard looks like a lake all the runs are total mud and water and still pouring,.

I am in a bad mood as is everyone here in Mo ...its getting REAL old....... rains and snow every week UGG GRUMPY
