March Hatch-Along Thread- Come Hatch With Us!!!!!

Well I got to looking at the barely zipped egg and noticed the lining looked dry, so I chipped a little of the egg away and sure enough the the lining was dried to the chick. So, I assisted and chick was ready to come out..no blood or yolk left. Now letting it rest until it gets ready to wobble around

This is what my comment above went to. Having technical issues today lol

The chick that I said wasn't doing too well (above) doesn't eat or drink on it's own yet and it doesn't open it's eyes much either. It is now 3 days old and I wanted to know if I could help it out some and how I should go about doing so. I did try to feed it with a dropper but it acts like I'm gagging it and I don't know if I should do it or not. Any advice would be much appreciated since I'm new at this.

Here is a pic of the 7 chicks that hatched so far. 4/4 easter egger/brahma cross, and so far 3/4 barred rock/brahma cross (my son calls them barrock obrahma's. lol). Still have another egg in the bator. Still alive, but seems to be taking it's time.

Welcome to BYC StarlinaStan.

Have you tried giving your chick Poly-Vi-Sol? They're infant vitamin drops... that might help... ???

Oh the cuteness! And your sons name for the breed is too funny!

Just had to share the cuteness of my momma hen w her bantam mixed babies (still not sure what they are, but their "daddy" is a normal sized barred rock so it will be interesting to see how they turn out!
