I set 29 eggs.
17 made it to lockdown.

4 BO
10 BR
2 BBS Orps
1 Houdan

Batch 1 did ok 33 out of 41, all but 1 of the duds had fully developed, a couple had internally pipped.

As of this morning I have several peeping eggs, 2 with pips. Unfortunately we aren't all to optimistic about things right now because 1 pipped the wrong end and the other pipped on the bottom of the egg (they are on their sides) I did gently roll that egg a tiny bit but I am afraid to touch it too much and I don't want to risk all of the others for just this one.

So for right now, our numbers go:

33 set
25 made it to lockdown
1 we know has quit since lockdown
2 have pipped

I will update as things change.....

Lockdown today (hatch date is March 7th). Disposed 4 clear Ameraucana eggs

and 1 experimental double yolk from my flock

Candling my blue and black CMs shipped eggs was frustrating (can't see clear indications that they are viable) I just left all of them in the bator and hope for the best. I'll consider myself lucky if at least 50% hatches out of 10 I have in there

. I'm using egg carton technique for the last three days. Will see how it goes.
