Mare's Illegal Cute-ness (Call Duck) Chat Thread!!

I've got a wild Canada goose that is only able to use one leg. She's been like this for as long as I've known her and that's probably been 3 years. Her leg has atrophied now. Of course she's got a target on her back because she's only able to hop around or fly. She does swim but that's really difficult because she's unable to paddle with the one leg. So she paddles with her good leg and uses her head to kind of thrust her body weight to help move her in the direction she wants to go. She's really impressive in my opinion. Years ago I considered catching and taking her to a waterfowl rescue, but I feel like she'd hate that and I worry they'd euthanize her.
I’m not sure how she will do outside of my aviary setting because her entire life is 10-15 yds of travel atm. That little flock is almost a year old so she’s beat the odds so far.

It was a hatch/brooder deformity……the leg is there, she just keeps it tucked up close to her body
I have a chick that's in a similar situation, looks like a malformed hip. At just a week old, it hops around and has learned to use it's tiny stump of a wing to lean on. If it remains this plucky then it will have earned it's chance at life, but as soon as I notice it suffering... Well, it's kinder to NOT let it suffer.

Cleaned and fired up the incubator today. Put the govee in it to check stock gages. Every reading is different. 🙃

Unplugged the bator and turned my nluetooth off. Checked the govee just now to see if it's relatively accurate to room temperature.... now all my alarms for temp and humidity are going off. 🤣

All the peepers are enjoying the sunshine today. 🥰
