Mare's Illegal Cute-ness (Call Duck) Chat Thread!!

1 duckling hatched yesterday and 2nd was external pipped. I’m hoping that Momma duck will accept them in the brooder run with the 4 older ones she hatched.
I removed 1 late quitters on Friday. There’s still the pheasant egg and a couple more duck eggs I need to check in that incubator.

I'm currently hatching Call Duck eggs for the first time. I started with 36 eggs from my adult birds: 4 were not fertile / never started developing and 2 were very early quitters.
Today is day 26 (not counting the day they were set). The first one pipped internally on day 24 and others quickly followed.
There were 4 eggs that were questionable, and partial eggtopsy shows those 4 are deceased. I have 9 that decided to pip into the wrong end of the egg, but are currently doing well. There are 14 that have internally pipped into the air cells, and are now either just hanging out with safety holes or are working on external pip. Then there's 3 eggs that are still alive, but haven't decided where to pip yet.

The 4 eggs that were deceased were all malpositioned or turned to the wrong end of the egg.
The 9 that I started assisting had bruising evident on the shell, so I knew what the issue was.
With the three that have no signs of pipping, but I can still see movement, what is my best course of action?
Wait and see, as long as they're still moving?

I ended up with just the 1 duckling…..I put it in the brooder run with Momma Ginger and the 4 older ducklings this evening. It escaped after a little bit and I found it on the opposite side of the shop. It’s been back with Momma and siblings for a couple hours now and all looks to be good 😊
