So, I am hatching eggs for a friend and a few of mine in with hers. Which I have covered already, but she texted me this morning and a weasel got to 3/4 of her breeding pens. She lost so many babies. So now once my chicken eggs hatch I will be going to get more. Luckily I have most of her expensive rare breeds that she lost. I only have a few from another pen. Luckily they seem to be doing good. I started with 24 but I am down to 17. Not bad but wish I had a better hatch rate for her. Luckily it’s breeding season and she has some of their babies. She has a brooder with some ducklings and has some that will be hatching really soon. So I have my fingers and toes crossed for a good hatch rate.

Where'd ya get that water tank? Is that new?

It’s just a long tote, maybe 3’ long, 15” wide, and about 8” deep. I couldn’t find my squeeze nozzle to put back on my hose, and found that spigot handle, so at least it gives me a shut-off until I find the other nozzle. I probably stored the nozzle somewhere safe for the winter. Safe from me.

Do you do the 10 minute cool down time each day and mist? If so, do you mist at the start of the cool down or just before you put the cover back on?
