Mare's Illegal Cute-ness (Call Duck) Chat Thread!!

They may be, but duck eggs can appear dead but not be.
In the beginning of hatching duck eggs I thought they were dead and threw them out, but they were alive. Even now with all of the experience I've had hatching ducks and it can still happen.
Hold out just a little longer...
I'm not giving up yet.

There's a hatchery 30 min away from me that has calls!!!!

I wonder if I could have a house duck 🤔

I totally agree. Keeping Ducks in the house is not an easy job. My two Khaki Campbell Ducklings I bought in February of last year kept me constantly busy cleaning up after them in the big pool I bought that I had setup in my living room for 6 weeks. The smell can be absolutely horrible if you don't constantly clean up after them which is what I did. They were in my house for 6 weeks until fully feathered because of our cold temperatures. I would not advise anyone to keep one inside. They are much happier out in the sunshine and fresh air.
