Is her abdomen swollen? I would do a search on ascites. If her abdomen is filled with fluid, it could be affecting her heart, causing the purple tinge to her comb. (I don't know how much purple is common in large-combed birds - mine are all rose or pea combed.)

Thanks. I am familiar with ascites and am concerned about that as a possibility. She might have felt just slightly fluid in the abdomen, but not super swollen/bloated at all. Will double check in the morning.
