AT this stage it would be nice to know if any of the eggs we sent actually hatched.

I'd say he probably has his hands full. He did say that at least some had hatched out of every batch so far. I just think he hasn't had a chance to inventory them all yet.
I am sure he has been busy - I have had hatches as complicated. 20 different suppliers of shipped eggs with quail guineas and chukar thrown in. I am not meaning to harass i I am just excited for results for MCF - I am sorry if it cam accross any other way

LOL. Before a big egg run it takes me up to 12 hours to unwrap, inspect, label and then inventory every egg delivery against how many I was expecting. I only have siz baskets for the display case bator so I need to work out after candling what I have left, what and what color they hatch so I dont get confused.

A couple of hatches ago I ened up with BBS orps and BBS Jersies in the same basket by error. I had to wait til they were teenagers to look at the color of their feet to sort them.

I also know how poorly a shipped egg hatch can go - and that its OK. If any of us who shipped eggs have expectations of brilliant hatches........

Oz - You see that tray of blue eggs with the 10 or so brown eggs in one corner? What are those blue eggs and where did they come from? Is the color as blue as they look in that pic or is the lighting playing tricks?

Always a pain to try to sort chicks that look alike...ugh! Been there, done that. Accidently got fbcm & oe mixed in a hatch. Leg feathering didn't work to tell them apart because most of the oe had feathered legs since the roo over them was a fbcm. I had to watch for puffy cheeks & green legs.
