Marsh Roll-X Incubator by Lyon - User's Thread

I just received one of these from a friend who prefers his hovabator. It has the rack for the auto turner and the pipe for the water reservoir, but neither comes with it.

I think it's an older model because the outlet on top is a two prong, and the turners Lyon sells are three prong. Anyone know where to get components for the older versions?

I have a Lyons also - older model (message me and we can chat ?)

Anyin know anything about the Turner motor in the older model marsh roll x. I she t the one with a clear lid. Motor doesn't move any parts but sounds like something is running in there.

I have a Marsh Rolex I use it for an incubator and a hatcher. The turner is the black box on the side of the lower box. My lower box is green and very heavy duty plastic. The lid is clear plastic and contains the heater and the fan. There is a rod that runs through the box and attaches to the egg tray. It is L shaped and one end is threaded. The threaded end goes to the outside of the box. This is where you make the adjustment for length of travel. Disconnect this rod and then you can run the turner with button on top of the black box. This box plugs into the lid, you can plug it into a cord of is own to test the turner. When you know the turner is working then re-attach the rod and adjust it so the tray switches directions before it hits the end of the box.
I hope this helps Tom.

Thanks Tom. Sounds like I have the exact same model as you. I've tried pushing/holding the button in top of the black box. Nothing happens. I hear the him of a motor inside the black box but does not appear as if anything is working/moving. Is there a screw that needs to be loosened that maybe is restricting movement???

Did you disconnect the L shaped rod from the egg tray?

Yes I did. It's all disconnected at the moment.
The black box is the turner. The button on the top turns the motor on, the arm coming out of the box moves the L shaped rod for the egg tray. If this rod does not move then you will have to open the black box and look at those gears. I think this turner is still available, but it will be expensive.

The bottom on top does nothing. I've opened the black box and have no idea what does what inside. I can hear a humming (not loud) but nothing moves.
