Martha Really Liked her Soup Today!

It was in the single digits (F) this morning here at Three Bird Farm in Maine (negative numbers with the wind chill), but clearly Martha liked her soup. Can you tell how we knew? ;-)

Apparently! And we even went out late because it was so cold and they had yet to venture out of the duckhouse. lol

Soup ingredients please? Mine are going nuts with kale sprinkles in their water bowls.

Our soup is always pea-based. We usually use our own (fresh during the season and then rehydrated later), but now we are into store bought peas. The peas are served during the winter in a warm water bath with a handful of fresh greens and a mealworm crumble (it's all about the texture, right?!). Wherever they are on the property they come running when they hear the "Hey, Ducklings! If you're ready, it's time for soup for ducks!" Note: It's very important you don't say Duck soup!
