Looks like everyone's a bit all over Frederick I'm only a few miles outside of downtown Frederick, though the way it looks you wouldn't immediately guess it!

Mine are spending days outside and night in a very large crate inside, but I can't wait to move them out entirely. The dust!

We will be moving them outside sometime this weekend. I have while 6x6 coop empty right now.

LOL - The line I use with my wife is that I am engaged in one of the great social experiments of the century. I want to see if it is possible to get a suburban girl to become a country girl. We have been married for almost 34 years & I am still working at it! We have lived off & on in some rural settings over the years but definitely rural Virginia for the last 19 years. Last year, I started with chickens and she does not want to deal with them but her mother henness shows. She is always checking on me to make sure that I have taken care of the chickens and chicks.

Chicken dust is CRAZY!!! I have my girls in a playpen in the garage and my car is covered in a 2 inch thick layer of it!!! CANNOT WAIT to get them out and in their permanent home.

My garage is horrendous after a winter spent brooding group after group of chicks. I start with them in the house, then they move to the garage, then outside. Yikes. We gave up parking the car in there with the dust! But the tools, my horse stuff, everything is covered in awful dust.

It's just right now, it's easier to put the younger chicks in the dog carrier and being them inside at night, but the dust is killing me. I'm considering building a brooder house. Someday.
