Hi... I'm in Aquasco, MD.


I have raised chickens off and on since I can remember. I have a few birds, but am really looking to establish a small Swedish Flower Hen flock and/or a Cream Legbar flock.


Just thought I might introduce myself.

I'm just about 20 minutes North in Upper Marlboro.  I breed Alsteirers, Ayam Cemani, Barneveleders, Bielefelders, Birchen Marans, Bresse,  Cream Legbars, Hedemora, Isbars, Sulmtalers (Gold Duckwing and Wheaten), Swedish Flower Hens, and English Orpingtons (Buff, Gold Laced, Jubilee, and Partridge).  Right now only the Ayam Cemani are laying. But in a couple of months, I will start incubating all of the others.

Let me know if I can help in any way.

Have to ask.. Ayam Cemanis? I would build another coop just for them if it was possible to get fertile eggs.

The Ayam Cemani are from Toni-Marie Astin's line. My best Cemani pullet began laying 2 days before Christmas. Unfortunately the rooster that I got for her is still in quarantine (as are my other Cemani pairs). So I right now her eggs are making very expensive omlets. She lays an egg every other day like clock work. I am very strict about quarantine and then I must incubate a few batches for quality control. So it will be several months before I can let go of any eggs or chicks.

If you can wait a couple of months, I will have eggs and chicks for sale. I am in Upper Marlboro about 40 or so miles south. My brother drives to Baltimore several times a week. I only raise rare breeds. Right now I have Alsteirers, Ayam Cemani, Barnevelders, Bielefelders, Birchen Marans, Cream Legbars, Hedemora, Isbars, English Orpingtons (Partridge, Gold Laced, Jubilee, and Buff), Swedish Flower Hens, and Sulmtalers (Wheaten and Gold Duckwing).

I will also be importing Belgian Malines and Marsh Daisy later in 2014.
