MARYLAND THREAD!

I have chicks of several breeds available, just need to find a home for these little ones. They hatched on the 23rd and 24th, so just about one week old, they have been vaccinated for Mareks. This is our first hatch and we started with 18 and ended with 12. Of the eggs that made it to lockdown, we had a 100% hatch rate. Our Welsummers, Ameraucanas, and Black Copper Marans all came from Deer Run Farm here in MD. Our Black Australorps were an Ebay purchase. We feather sexed these and it seemed pretty obvious to us which were which, but we're not pro's so no guarantees.

Below is the list of what we have available, we will also probably have Lavender Orpingtons and Blue Laced Red Wyandottes available soon, going into lockdown tonight... oh ya with one extra thrown in Black Copper Maran egg.

1x Black Australorp pullet
2x Welsummers pullets
1x Black Ameraucana pullet
1x Black Copper Maran cockerel
1x Black Copper Maran pullet

Edit: I should have mentioned I am near BWI.
Do you have any pullets left? I'm in Pasadena and I'm looking for 4...

I live in north baltimore and I have had chickens for a year and half now. I am looking to give away two egg laying hens. they are austrolorpes and they are black. they are getting bullied by other members of the flock and we have not been able to stop it. please let me know if you would be able to take these two chickens! they are a year and a half and we will give them to you for free! here are some pics! the first four are from after the bullying and the others are from before they are misssing quite a few feathers.
Did you find a home?

I've been calling all the TS in the area and no one has any yet... I have a very sad ten-YO daughter morning the loss of our two Orpingtons :(
If you go to TSC's website, you can order in lots of 10 and they'll ship them to your local store for free. If you don't need 10, maybe a neighbor or friend will split the order with you. It's worth asking around.

Thank you! I found a local person on Craig's List (Sandi) with tons of chicks... We picked up four new babies yesterday. We went for a mix a buff orpington, a barrock, a rhode island red, and a white leghorn. We also found out that the two Wyandottes (labled by Tractor Supply) are actually Australorps. This is truly a learning experience for our family. Wish us luck!

ID'ing mixed up bin babies is a true challenge! Siri, one of my Kindergarten dropouts, hatched from what was supposed to be a Black Australorp egg. She's a Jersey Giant ... a very BIG Jersey Giant ... which is pretty comical with my tiny Nankin bantams!
