We are friends on ETSY. I am on the Eastern Shore too (Toddville).

Funky Feathers, what does ETSY stand for?!

I have a few LF Cochin mixed chicks if anyone is intersted. There are 7 all together, they are Cochin X Barred Rock, Cochin X Salmon Faverolles, Cochin X Mottled Houdan, and Cochin X TetraTint. They are all featherlegged, but some have beards, crests, and extra toes. Just PM me if interested, $3 each. Here's a pic of them after hatch, they are now 2 1/2 weeks old.

I saw some people looking for silkies. There are a few Amish Farms down here in St Mary's County that sell them. Look like hatchery stock but not sure. No phone numbers of course but can give directions if anybody is interested. Also Sex Links, Austalorps, Rhode Islands among many others. No rare breeds that I know of. Also nice almost adult Guineas for 6 bucks. I bought a bunch of keets from them and they are great!

I'm in St Mary's a bit as my BFF lives there. What road are these farms on? But I saw some show stock in PA that I might go look at... Next time I need a loonnngggg drive, lol. The Amish critters are hit or miss. I have clients who buy Amish bred dogs, and half the time, they are a disaster. So I would look, but be careful myself.

I went up to my new place today to meet with a fencing guy for an estimate on my fence. I stood where I was thinking of putting a coop. It is starting to seem very real. We close next Friday!

yoie, those are so cute! Love the little brown face!

Everybody OK after those storms last night? My greenhouse was torn by some flying debris, but we are fine otherwise. I am departing for work...hopefully the roads aren't blocked by trees down.

I own a 1/2 acre lot 1 mile from Campus Drive, U of Md College Park campus. If anyone would like to use it to raise chickens on just let me know. All I ask is that you treat my land like it was your own and share some eggs with me.

They are all in Loveville off of or close to RT5. There is a Place right where Rt5 and Rt247 come together in Loveville. He has a big sign that says fresh eggs. Right past that is Pincushion Rd. About 1 mile down Pincushion there is a big sign that says Pullets for sale That business is called The Silkie Coop. Most birds I have seen are hatchery chicks. The first place I mentioned has Adolescent Guineas and Red Sex links (and call ducks). The Silkie Coop had RIR, Austrolorps, Barred Rock, Silkies and a bunch more 6 week old chicks. There is a large feedmill in Loveville. If you stop there they can point you in the right direction.
