Hi Friends,

delicate topic: My Ducks had some fun today in their »hot-tub« (which is actually lousy cold!). I don't know exactly what happened, but Donald, my Drake got on top of two girls. They have not started laying yet, should i separate them or is that ok? Have not observed any injuries so far…

I agree. If he is topping them the hens are maturing also. Hope you like eggs
I would love to get some eggs from my ducks, but every time when i ask them they look at each other, quacking »Egggs? What is that human talking about?« I'm afraid i'll have to wait until next year, when the days will become longer again.

Runners seem to mature fast in the sex department. Or mine did they were mating at 4 months and laying at 4.5 months. I was use to Muscovy's.
Yep! I read that too, Muscovy's need more time. Laying after 4.5 months?! I must tell that to my girls, they are ~6 months and - nada.
