Injured chick help?

One of my almost two week old chicks has somehow acquired a leg injury. She can't bear weight on it and if I pick her up she keeps it drawn up to her body and shakes intensely. She is also panting.

Help!?!

I had a chick that got a leg injury too at about the same age. She was run over by the other chicks. I thought we would have to cull her. But we built a "hospital"for her. Basically it was a small box covered with hardware cloth and placed it in the brooder. (I have a fairly large brooder) She had her own food and water and heat. She was happy with this arrangement because she could see everyone. She continued to eat and drink so we kept trying to help her. I gave her a small sock rolled up beside the harare cloth. She would sleep on top of it right by the wire so she was close to the others. After about a week she seemed a bit better and she was squawking for the others. So we put her back with everyone and she is fine. Wouldn't know she was ever injured.

But I also looked at slipped tendon. Hope yours gets better like mine did.

I did an oops! I guess I didn't make very good notes on which eggs should have been locked down yesterday. I found a nice dry chick in my Brinsea that has all the eggs that are supposed to hatch next week. I found 4 others marked the same way, 1 was pipped and chirping. So, I had to find room to stash 4 more eggs, and a dry chick. The 2 incubators that are currently locked down have more eggs than they should. Good thing I had a brooder incubator all set up ready to go. I just had to bump up the humidity.

I need to stop doing staggered hatching....

We can trade places LOL

Sounds great!!!!

Oh no! But staggered hatching is so fun! :) I know what you mean though, it does get confusing. I use different symbols on all of mine, and then record the shape in the Hatchabatch app. That app has been really helpful!

Tell me now, before I stop reading the thread. What should the humidity be at lockdown if the air cells are way too small? It is at about 50, and I think that is good enough. I did candle little while ago before that last egg started rolling again. Even being drawn down, the air cells just don't look big enough. Do you think I should go ahead and let it get up to about 60?

I left it go initially, but you are just killing me!
Killing me softly with his song......

I would think 60ish would be alright for small air cells.
