we so need someone who can help with duck hatching questions!!! Seems most have major issues with them!

What are these? Feed store had 3 cages, the top ones had the yellow/cream on chest and the bottom ones didnt. Also there were like 2 black ones in the third cage on the way bottom. Didn't get picks, so dark. But didn't look like barred rock or Australorp? I thought these were all EEs but then the middle cage some are brown and some look silver/grey? So I'm wondering if they are Wyandottes? They were supposed to get SLW and GLW in bit I forget when. They weren't labeled or else I wouldn't be asking. Forgot to ask an employee but oh well. This is Morrisons, a local store under Agway, not a TSC or anything. But yeah. Thoughts?

not sure, a lot of chicks have chipmunking, ask someone

We have had some very interesting names. I think my favorites have been Birdie-num-nums who was a silkie and also turned out to be a roo. Not terribly commanding with the name. And we currently have a Dorking hen named Pizza Steve. Gotta love kids. Can't wait for dark so I can candle!

He seems to be particular about the types of grasses he eats lol so i think hes the same :) he also eats on walks though. There's a spot near the end of our driveway wherehe always stops and "grazes" and there used to be a spot when we walked the cranberry bogs but they dredged a new channel lol so not necessarily only decorative/ornamental grasses but not just any grass either. Though sometimes he does graze in the middle of the yard. He's very weird lol he's also part Great Pyrenees though so i always wondered if he wasnt finding nutrition in the grasses out of some instinct to stay alive lol cause sometimes he catches animals too
I personally find the desktop version on mobile to be very clunky and hard to use. You should try mobile sometime :)

I use mobile all the time, new to the app part here. I like mobile better than desktop. Overloads me with what to look at and do. My husband says i am on too much as is, it's worse than my going to the coop and watching.

Yeah, i figured they'd probably be impossible to figure out haha I'll go back in and ask. I wonder if the silvee and brown ones at least are maybe Wyandottes? Or are there other breeds that can be chipmunk amd silver?

Silver Phoenix and Silver Gray Dorkings have a chipmonk pattern as chicks as well. Phoenix have gray/slate legs and the dorkings have 5 toes with yellow legs. True Araucanas (Black Breasted Red variety) are a chipmonk but you are not likely to find those. They would be "rumpless" i.e. no tail. I don't know bout other breeds. Those are just some I have raised that start out chipmonked.

Thanks! Didn't see slate legs or 5 toes but didn't look that close i guess. But I'm also not sure the store was gettkng any of those in and aren't dorkings kinda small? Even if not, they were in with the brown ones so that kinda limits it. Wonder if Wyandottes look like that?
