@weegardenoh those are so cute look to be a little darker then my two silvery ones. I have one that is a funny brownish color partridge maybe? Do silkies even come in that color? Lol
@mlm MikeYes they are the MPC traveling eggs, so I really didnt expect much from them a little disappointed with the very expensive croads. They were packed very well got here in 2days. Sat at the post office for 24 hrs so I went ahead and sat them late monday evening. Oh well crossing my fingers for four chicks!

@mlm Mike Yes they are the MPC traveling eggs, so I really didnt expect much from them a little disappointed with the very expensive croads. They were packed very well got here in 2days. Sat at the post office for 24 hrs so I went ahead and sat them late monday evening. Oh well crossing my fingers for four chicks!

I took my little injured chick to the vet's office this morning (as they told me to last night, come at 7 in the morning), and the vet that sees chicks was not there and won't be there until this evening. ~sigh~ Frustrating. Poor little thing is so sad to watch.

Still eating and drinking and hopefully when I get off work and take her to vet AGAIN the chicken vet will actually be there. I read the pages on chicken leg issues/injuries and I just don't feel confident enough to diagnose what is wrong. She was fine one minute and then not able to use one leg. (Thanks Sally Sunshine for the links.)

Only hatched one isabell lost 2 to the incubator issue on day 19.

One still in the bator not doing to well its an Ayam. The poor little brown leghorn didnt survive.

I have first KEET hatched day 26!

So since i have a mix do uou think spot on head means male?

Sort of a glutton for punishment I guess. Had just over a week off from an incubator with eggs and then set 21 of these on Sunday evening.( Narragansett Turkeys ) Will put 3 chicken eggs in as "teachers" this weekend.

Update on my may 7 hatch: 6/9 hatched. 2 quitters 1 malposition. Took a quick peak at my last 10 eggs on day 12, 2 blood-rings 8 veining.
Really proud of my Easter HAL chicks today. Didn't notice until today how much the ameraucana pullet's beard & muff was coming in; so cute! Also caught my Dominique pullet following the older white leghorn up to the roost for the first time, what a pretty thing she is!

Egg update for me

Day 14 and I have removed 10/18 eggs that were clear. Only 8 left in there cooking away.
Pretty dissapointed about this hatch, can't wait to be using my own eggs again.
