Just candled some eggs, all 12 Ayam Cemanis are doing great and moving around, and most of the crosses are too. I took 6 out due to infertility, but the rest are doing great! I’m thrilled! I put 7 Bielefelders in the Brinsea to replace the infertile ones... And.. I got more chicks! 2 Buff Orpingtons, and 4 Rhode Island Blues:

I put them in with my Lavender English Orpington who has a vent problem, she’s improving now.

Quail eggs are going into lockdown today.

Pekin eggs hatching on Sunday and a couple Polish Deathlayers.

Friends duck eggs should be hatching at some point this month, I need to check the date for them.

No pips or cracks will throw out eggs tomorrow in the dumpster and try again.
my temp is 36.8 C
Humidity 58 percent can't fill my incubator with water because its full of water in the bottom part under the eggs
The incubator is in a daft area in the basement which is not where I would of put it. my mom isn't smart when it comes to hatching. does not know the first thing about hatching like I do.

I've been weirdly busy this month for someone that has barely left the house, lol! I've been slacking on my updates. I actually have 4 separate hatch dates upcoming this month but they're all tiny hatches compared to how I'm normally hatching, so I still tamed my hatching addiction, sort of...right?
In a nutshell (or an egg shell? lol) this is what I have upcoming!

- 3 Peachicks are on lockdown and expected to start hatching Sunday 5/10! I have my fingers crossed for my seriously wonky side air cell baby that is still hanging in there.

- 6 BBS Marans are due to hatch on 5/19, I started with 12 and had 7 early quitters in this batch and it's from the same flock that gave me a couple of terribly deformed chicks last month, so I admit I'm feeling a bit anxious at the moment and I may need to take an extended break from hatching from that flock since this hatch is also looking very questionable.

- 5 White Japanese Bantam/Whiting True Blue crosses are due to hatch on 5/23, I started with 12 and had 7 infertile eggs but this is our 3rd or 4th attempt at setting eggs from under this roo and we thought he was sterile, so 5 fertilized eggs is actually a HUGE success for this little guy!!

- 4 Royal Palm and Royal Palm turkey crosses are due to hatch on 5/30, I started with 5 and only 1 infertile egg with these. It will be my first time hatching eggs from this source so fingers crossed!
