10 out of 10 marans hatched I assisted 3 when I got home.

I’m going to hatch my next batch completely hands off. Once 14 days hits... no touchy! I want to see the difference if I go hands off. Be nice to not stress about a hatch for once.

Think they are all blacks, but I can’t tell. Maybe I’ll tell better in a week or so

Oh no I have a hatchet that has yolk still hanging out! It zipped on its own what do I do?

Daub on some coconut oil or neosporin (not the pain relief kind). Put it back in the bottom half of its shell (or A shell, or a paper towel) and set it in a little cup in the incubator until it has finished its little chore.

Ok so came home to 2 eggs that are pipped and I swear I hear cheeping however my humidity has dropped to 57%......... is this a yikes moment and try to add water in the vent hole or just leave it as the humidity will increase once they start hatching?

Day 14 update, in the incubator there are 15 left. I had a temperature spike and then the power went out for almost a full day.. so I am glade I have that many.. I did have a lot of infertile also..

Broody is still sitting.. she get confused at time and we have to put her back on the eggs. But that’s never to long of a time period. I don’t candle a broody eggs, so we shall see...
