I'm in Idaho, I am guessing close to "Eastern Washington" Sorry for chiming in, go back to talking about Meyer's Hatching eggs (they are sold out of most at the moment)

So I have names for all my crosses and people are really digging the names... Giant Deathlayer, Giant Cochin, Death Comet, Polish Deathlayer... I am not sure what else I have but that is all I could think of right now

You and me both. I'm plotting a hatch for August to align with the delivery of chicks from Sandhill Preservation. I mean, they are only sending 20 so why not hatch some friends.

We just had 16 hatch nankins and Cochins , and we purchased 11 Delaware, 4 Leghorn, and 3 Olive Eggers, needless to say - I need to have a conversation with my wife because I asked her as I was typing this... oh lord. (wait) she just said... oh oh and 4 new brahma chicks. help. haha

I wanted to show these eggs I just got, a friend brought them to go with my bought eggs, the mom was a Fayoumi from Meyer's, I had gotten Fayoumi's in rare assortment order. I didn't think I would like that chicken I got 3 and I gave'm away. The eggs are huge, I didn't know such a small bird would lay a big egg, campine chickens are the same way. I don't have alot of white egg layers, so I am going to take these back, I am not sure, the dad on these may be a LO/AC.

That's odd, I was just reading on Fayoumis and I thought they were supposed to lay small eggs! Those definitely look larger! I'm jealous, I'd like a few of those birds. Just not enough to buy shipped eggs or pullets. yet.
