You have the same assortment as me! Yes it is the greasy spotting with the giant "pockmarked" pores that I am concerned about. I never use those when I come across them in my flock. How cool we got the same assortment on the same day and are setting at the same time. It should be fun to see what hatches. Good luck!

I have hatched duck eggs that looked like that and they incubated and hatched fine. All of my duck eggs until very recently have been shipped.

It is good to hear that an egg having those characteristics doesn't automatically discount the success of a hatch.

Well the poopyish ones are a bit weird to me, mine were clean when I got them, but they’re likely a bit back logged atm. Other than that though, I think they look fine! Yours look to be a good size too. A lot of mine were pretty small but still ended up fine!

I just hatched some from them in November and got 9 chicks!! Ordered 12, got 13, all were fertile, 10 made it to lockdown and got 9 total chicks. Pretty dang good for my first ever hatch (so likely made some errors) and shipped eggs if you ask me!!!

I got like 8 different breeds too. I was really happy!

Still have a Lavender Orpington cockerel and Welsummer pullet from the hatch.

From Meyer's I ordered (not assortment sounds fun though) SS, olive eggers, partridge and Blue andelusian.

That is a really good success rate! I was impressed with their packaging and all eggs seemed to have no internal problems (intact air sac, yolk discernable...). Many do have size to them too. Here they are all ready to go.

I ordered from them early in the season, but my incubator conked out, so I didn't get a good hatch, I have a diff incubator now.

Smaller eggs ship better.
