How's she doing? Nevermind... I just saw that Bobbles is doing well.

Yeah it’s doing great. Still in the bator for now. I’ll wait till right when I leave for the day to put it in the brooder

Well I definitely have a mean mama. I was out with them and she had gotten pushed off her nest so she was in the box with a hen and chicks, eventually the chicks came over to her and she was not pleased so I’m going to use her as an incubator for the last few eggs and then I’m gonna break her.

I like them to hatch in day time, not in the middle of night.

We have 13 chicks. Only difference between Bobbles and the others is it has a swollen part on the back of its head from being choked out. We will see how she does these next couple weeks.

Two eggs have pipped!!! They cheep! This is the best thing ever. My very first hatch and I think I'm hooked

Its day 20 though, should I worry that this is too early? They were set in the incubator at like 6am...

They are not too early, and don't worry they have not all pipped yet, and even with a pip, they could stay in egg 24 hrs, they are getting a breath, and absorbing the last of the belly button. The actual hatch then could be on day 21.

15 chicks hatched now. One is the Giant Deathlayer... here she is. Looks identical to what it’s mom looked liked when I hatched her.

I want my egg chicks to look like their mom, <---- her other babies all looked like her, one recently hatched was black like the dad. We will find out on the other 2.
