May 2020 Hatch-A-Long

41 Barnyard beauties. Made me learn more things. New things this hatch, my diy incubator needs more humidity. Too many shrink wraps. Had one chick with it over its eye, I did NOT remove that. (It is gone now) :sick. One "hatched" over night by opening the egg 1/2 inch. Then dried there, the exterior down was dry, I helped it out just had a little attachment to the wing.

Cuties all

Just a little scared of me for the photo. 12 are already gone to there forever homes.

Wow! Congrats on a great hatch!

My total hatch is 19, I had four late bloomers!

So final tally on the “Lavender“ ameraucanas: two blue and one black! I think the breeder may have pulled the eggs from the blue/black/splash pen instead of the lavender/black lavender split pen! Oh well they are cute nonetheless I love their little owly faces!😍
See some of you in the June hatch-along! Trying again, will likely have two dozen ameraucanas, hopefully some self blue (lavender) this time! Luckily I have buyers for any surplus ones that I don’t keep!😊

Sorry I was attempting to multitask (multitasking is a myth I decided..) and did not finish my post. Meant to say, I would love to see photos of your silkie hatch if you have time. So fun to see their coloring. I was hoping for a paint in my hatch, but it looks like you may have one! Will be fun to see how this one ends up! :love
