May 2020 Hatch-A-Long

I look at comb size and color, waddle size and color, the tail and saddle feathers, and neck feathers. Also agressiveness. A cockerels comb and waddles will usually be bigger and a fuller color than the pullets. Cockerels will also have curved pointy saddle feathers where a pullets will be straighter and rounded. A cockerels neck feathers will also be more pointed than a pullets and when they challenge other chicks they will stand them up on end.
Females do the same with their neck feathers when they’re fight for rank in the pecking order.

I got them from the classifieds here on BYC I just went and looked back and the post said the roosters were Americauna over black copper Maran, olive egger, Easter egger and americauna hens so I guess they would be hybrids of sorts anyway but I know they look distinctly different like different little gangs 😆 there are 11 all together but several are like the first picture and a couple like the second. The black and white ones from picture 2 are huge And one has red showing on its comb already oh and most have feet feathers
