ended up with 3 slightly different silkie babies! they are so cute! I think that’s all i’m going to get, out of 10 eggs, but i’m going to leave the rest for another day… i could hear one or two others not too long ago.

I had a perfectly good Saturday nap going when the cheap cheap started. My mistake of not taking a hearing aid out. 1 black one from a cross that I do not understand and a red from the RIR ladies. It was the black one that woke me up. Do I get even with him by playing loud music in a coop all night when he is older? Opera?

Woke up from a nap and got to see another chick hatch! AND there are pips in two more eggs, including one of the BLUE ones!

That's 7 out of 8 that made it to lock down.

Not that I could have done anything different.
