May Bake Swap! *Adresses Sent*

I'm always in for another one!

We need to try to recruit some new bakers!

I unfortuantly was not able to get my stuff out today, :( Most of the highschools around us had graduation this week or last week, so I had a lot of last minute cake orders at work and at home (in fact, I need to bake one tonite for church tomorrow night). One of the kennel workers at my moms work quit, so I've also been working there too this week. We worked today until 6pm, we close at 12pm  We had some emergencies to sew up, xray, and what not. I did try to make some blondies last night, but I had to use a different recipe because I couldnt find my usual one, they did not turn out good. They where all nice and puffy, I tapped lightly on the middle to see if it was done, and the whole middle sank down :( . UGH, I should have made my stuff last week.

So to my swappers, silkymom1986 and nickie, you will be getting a little extra because I'm late, probly something with blueberries, I have 4 quart zippybags in the freezer. :D

I was thinking of doing a cookie swap next month. You would send 18+ cookies (per swap) with a recipe.

Do anyone want to do that next month instead of the regular whatever swap?? I would like for atleast 5 people to say what they think about to see if I should or not. :D

Don't worry about being late, it will be worth the wait.

Sounds like you've had your hands full and I totally know how ya feel!

I would do the cookie swap if that's what we decide to do. Whatever yall decide to do you can sount me in, lol.

Hey, don't worry about me, I can wait a few extra days for goodies... Better chance of my husband being home (he travels with work) and actually getting some. A size 4 and a serious sugar addiction do not go well together.

For whoever asked about the cakepops they are everything fabulous about cake dipped in chocolate of any kind and on a stick. I sent my first ever batch to farmerchef and I have gotten even better at them. Now any time anyone invites me to a party I have to spend 2 days making them. It's a super popular thing in bakeries and sweet shops right now.

Darn, I think I had one margarita past my limit, sorry, I am all in on cookies if that's what we want to do. Fancy stuff doesn't hold up to heat well and that's what I was planning on doing until cool weather comes back.

... and yum! Cake and Chocolate!!!! Only thing that could make it better is a little icecream to go with :) I looked real quick on here but can't find any directions on how to make them... probably I'm just to tired to find them... I shall search harder tomorrow :) THANKS for the reply nickie!!!

When I found out how easy they were to make I laughed that people around here pay $3 for ONE. Are you ready?

Make a cake (box or scratch however you like) 13x9 pan.
Cool overnight.
Crumble it into a big bowl.
Get some frosting (i do homemade, but canned is fine) mix it in a glob at a time until you can form nice balls without being too goopy but not too dry.
Roll em up.

Stick em in the fridge to get them firm.

Melt your chocolate (candy melts work too).
Here's where it takes forever... Dip your stick in the chocolate then in to your ball (helps hold it in) after its firm dip the ball in the chocolate, decorate and stick em in some Styrofoam to let them harden without a flat top. Store at room temp so the chocolate doesn't sweat.

If your balls fall off the sticks when you dunk them they ate probably too warm and loosening up, just stick them back in the fridge for a bit. It helps to work in sections so that doesn't happen.

I make oreo truffles like that.
I put a box of oreos in the blender/processor until fine.
Dump into a mixer with 1 block (8oz) softened cream cheese and mix.
Chill. Atleast 45 mins.
Use a small icecream scoop (think the one I use is 1 tbsp) to make truffles.
Melt chocolate and dip truffles. I put them on a fork and spoon chocolate over.
To decorate, melt colored chocoalte(like green or mint or tan or pnut butter) and drizzle over. Or when chocoalte is still tacky, roll or sprinkle with crushed oreos, sprinkles, etc.
They have to be kept in the fridge because of the cream cheese, make sure you use an airtight container, or they may end up fridge flavored, if they last that long

I have made these with all the different flavor oreos, I like using the regular double stuft best. ;)
