Day 8 here, out of a dozen i have 10 definite embryo development, 1 clear, and 1 am not sure of.

I'm so excited for all of you!! Fingers crossed for a great hatch for the entire forum. Two duds/early quitters and one day 10 or so quitter, and the rest are going strong! Can't wait for Friday, it's killing me. Ahh!!

I have two digital thermos in there and a liquid candy thermometer the digitals are about 0.3 degrees apart have been since the beginning, and the candy therm only has 2 degree increments so its not specific enough but they are all reading the same candy is at 100 and the two digital are now at 99.8 and 100.1 its just the bator ran steady for 10 days and then seemed to drop in temp and I had to keep turning it up to keep the temp up when in reality the surrounding air was warmer not cooler

I don't think i'll be using this incubator again

Congrats on all the hatching and chicks.
Today is day 8 for my incubator #1. Tally is: 10 developing out of 11 from my Brown Red d'Uccle, 4 developing out of 7 for my Mille Fleur Cochins, and 5 developing out of 15 on the shipped Mille Fleur Cochin eggs.
My Mille Fleur cochin broody is still sitting, she has about 5 developing eggs under her. Now my d'Uccle hen has gone broody, so I put three self blue oeg eggs, some brown red d'Uccle and a couple Mille Fleur cochin eggs under her.
I am waiting for some quail and black d'uccle eggs to arrive and go into incubator #2.
And my pony still hasn't foaled, uhg, I need sleep.

A little late joining in, but locked down 31 eggs this morning....can't wait for Friday...keep running downstairs to check the eggs, humidity...driving myself and DH) crazy!

Humidity is a little high right now at about 75, but should drop soon....hope.......

First time hatching in egg cartons.......

why do you think 75 is too high?

i am happy to report two fluffy babies have hatched, and 16 more have pipped, out of 31 in lockdown. we are just on day 20 so i expect to wake up to several more.
