I came in to 2 hatched and a few early students and I got to see one more hatch!!! At least 3 more are pipped.

So with my turkey & duck eggs due to go into lockdown tomorrow...this FINALLY arrived.


Currently running empty to try and get the icky plastic smell out and debating whether or not to put the lock down eggs in it. Been having humidity issues in my other bator...

Thanks for the response.

My only previous hatch was with a broody. I did not candle at all.

Just for fun here is a picture of mama and baby from that hatch.

End of day 17. I was gone most of today and wasn't able to turn them. I turned about an hour ago, let them settle a little, and just candled them. All 13 showed signs of life. No internal pips, but I wasn't expecting any this soon - I think, after looking at them, that these may go to 21 days before they start hatching rather than popping on day 19 like the last batch did, so hatch date is extended from 19th/20th to 19th/22nd. We'll see! I'll set them down to get ready for hatching tomorrow morning.

I opted to move them into the Brinsea. It's been running for 14 hours with steady temp & humidity. Just as I was moving them I noticed a pip.

Heading to bed & now I have pips in 3/7 Turkey eggs already.
