May Hatch-a-Long!

Hoping to get checking soon as I was down last night gonna set Rouen eggs into lockdown... and had a roller. 1st time I thought I bumped machine then I waited... and it was rocking by itself. Having the 2 and 3 y/o up with me in the morning keeps me from hovering of hatches... most days. So they get plenty of time to get ready and go before I get urges to mess with anyone.

May have been false alarm. Just a quick check though so the 2 lil ones didn't destroy the house.

I'm on day 20 and just heard the first chirp from my incubator! I can't see all my eggs, but I have one starting to pip. I guess it's time to find some outside chores to try to make myself do so I won't sit here glued to the bator

Lucky..I am also on day 20. I set mine at night though, hopefully I will be hearing/seeing pips by tonight. Good luck!

Next thing I need is a web cam to connect to my incubator. EggCam! If I did, I wouldn't get anything done at work. The kids would go crazy throwing papers and where's the teacher? Watching his eggs.

yea!! we are on 20 too! i went to bed at midnight and heard a peep.. so I looked and there was a pip!!


my DH was going to get a wireless webcam so I could have it on the incubator now.. in the broody nest in a few days... but he told everyone I wanted it. he just wont admit he wants to watch and know whats going on too!! but I put the kabosh to that cause I would not get anything done at work!!

Me too! I made the transfer from my forced air to my still air, and filled the water wells. during that time I had put the lockdown eggs on the table the incubator sits on. one of my eggs spontaneously rolled away from me! hah!

I also think that I saw an internal pip when I candled, which would be really early. it's a greenish egg in the middle, so we'll see if that chick is first!

Hey guys, I'm new to BYC and this thread. I am having some random eggs hatch tommorow or the next day. I candled them right before lockdown, seems like all 5 will be fine. I am using a brinsea mini advance incubator. Anyone else on day 19 or 20?

Thanks for the warm welcome! I put some in at about 6:00 on May 1st. Does this mean they will hatch the 21st or 22nd of May?
