We incubated 15 and had 6 hatch.  It was our first hatching in the incubator.  I'm not sure why 9 didn't hatch, but I'm happy with the 6 we have.  Those were all either Australorps or EE x Australorps.  We also had 4 bantam frizzles x australorp hatch under the bantam frizzle hen.  We bought 10 Silver Laced Wyandottes and 6 Lavender Orpingtons.  I'm happy to say all chicks are doing well. The Wyandottes are 10 weeks old and the Lavendar Orpingtons are 6 weeks old.  The chicks we hatched are 2 weeks now.  We will have a couple of Wyandotte roos and one Orpington roo to sell and we may sell some as pairs or trios, but I would like to keep 1 roo and most of the hens of each breed.

Congrats

the green egg baby is out! and her lungs are WORKIN'! should be a good night of NO sleep hehehe :caf :clap

11 more have pips! (32 total)

Wow

I set 40 eggs, and so far hatched 31, thats why I didnt answer right away another one hatched still have a zip, and several peeps. This batch did very well :)

wow looks just like my Afro Thunder, lol I didnt name him, I was calling what I thought was a she cotton candy, but 4 days ago he started crowing :)

I had a Cotton, pretty original aren't we? That's the thing, poor baby hasn't got a name yet..I'm waiting to see what .. it.. is. :D That's a pretty boy right there. How old is he? Mine hasn't crowed yet at three months. I wouldn't mind if mine is a boy. I want to breed him to my others, what ever ones turn out to be girls!

this is my roo, he just started crowing a few days ago, and he is about the same age :)
picture below is newest one I got and about same age but looks alot different, what do you think?

First off, I think they are very pretty, and second, I think the second one really looks like a cockerel with that much of a pink comb. :) So, your first one crowed at three months of age?
