May Hatch-a-Long!

Hey Silkie people! I'm on day 21 and just now have cracking I can see. Is this normal?

I think you may be seeing your chicks hatching! Can you take a pic so we can see what you mean? By now, since you posted 12 hours ago, you may already know what's going on. Do let us all know!

There are 10. This is my first hatch!

My wife and I are talking about that now. Lol

Now there's my kind of ppl...hatch now, figure it out later, lol.

Are they all silkies? I admit, I'm partial, but I adore my little silkies.
What time of day did you set them? Is this completing day 21 or on day 22?
Don't get nervous about the days...eggs don't wear watches.

These are all Silkies! I put 6 Icelandics in on the 15th so I had to buy another incubator to separate them. Dumb newbie thing lol. I set on May 12 about 3 pm? I think! First one hatched at 10 pm last night. The 2nd 2 after 2 am.

I'm So excited! But now I have to go to work

Candling day 14! All 12/12 babies making and saddle cells are smoothing out. I'm so pleased!!! Just one week to go!!!

I'm guessing you mean April 12th? Otherwise the question "which came first, the chicken or the egg?" would really be a big one!
So you had 3 hatch a touch early. I usually feel that a 24 hour window in my hatches is Fast! I've seen eggs hatch 2 days late also. That happened to me this past November. (a mini-cluthch that was due the day before Thanksgiving and hatched midday the day After)

Oh yeah LOL April 12th! Ok so we are good?! This is really nerve wracking LOL. But exciting! I see three more with pips!
They are precious little silkies! Idk what colors they will be. My daughter picked the rooster! And our girls are three different colors.
