My temperature keeps messing around I woke up to it being to low this morning, and the other day it was too high. Hopefully I haven't lost any from that. I need to find something to keep it steady.

I'm freaking out.

Day 20 for me! I could hear them under my broody today. She is super protective. Last night she started acting really protective because before this she was fine with me. She will make a good mommy hen.

Have you tried water bottles? They absorb and hold the heat pretty good, It might help it stay more constant?

Nope, I've thought about it though. But I have an egg turner and I can't figure out how I would get it to stay put.

@TheChickenQueen I have a huge rock in the bottom of my homemade bator I think it has worked really well keeping my temps stable

Today is day 7 for me and I am afraid none of my eggs are developing, I made a thread with my candling photos and already got a reply who agrees with me but i'd like more opinions before I start over. I have a broody who has eggs under her which are due May 20th! She has 2 chicken eggs and 3 guinea fowl eggs under her. Don't know how the guinea's layed in her box

MINE HATCHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM REALLY HAPPY!! At least two of them have hatched I am guessing last night! Only day 20 They are so tiny!! I am going to get pictures of them. It is storming (why does it always storm the day chicks hatch for me?).
