Welcome~ Sorry to hear about the failure of your incubator.  My styrobator is like that...I have to fill it up with ball canning jars to keep the temps steady.

Thank you! I was thinking about using the glass decore beads someone suggested earlier in this thread, to stabalize temps in my LG 9300. I have two, the first one I got as a hatcher for my duck eggs and it works beautifully. This new one fluctuates wildly on temps for some reason. Got them both off the exact same shelf! Crazy how the quality varies so much. I will keep you posted on how it goes.

Could someone tell me if its ok for a broody to get off her nest on day 19 or 20 to eat etc?

My hen just did it and I'm concerned.

It's ok as long as they don't totally abandon it. I have 3 hens that have been getting off for a bit and the little babies are still hatching.

They usually don't, but it's fine. If she's stuck with it for that long, she knows what she's doing

Is it circulated? Is the fan working okay?

Luckily, I have two more pips...as of this afternoon. So, two out, two pips,one with no action. Prayers must have worked!
