Oh my goodness.... I just added up all the eggs I've got in the bator or on their way to me....
86!!! Eeks!! That's a lot!!! I know not all will hatch... But if half do... I'll be selling chicks!

One week until broody #3 has her hatch! She's a cochin on 9 cochin eggs. And yesterday, I put another cochin hen in the broody coop with 13 cochin eggs (I really like my cochins, you see!) And then TODAY, I have a naked neck on a nest who growled at me. Sadly, all of these hens are in one coop, and the poor rooster there has lost EVERY SINGLE HEN to the broody sickness. He's all droopy and pale without his girls.

Lil guy is still working on zipping. Must be taking a siesta. Its been about 5 hours since he pipped but its definitely bigger.
It's good that he's taking his time and resting during the hatch. Don't worry :)

Everyone else that are having hatching time today: Good luck, hope it goes as planned! Keep us posted :)

I've been pretending to have a life today, running some errands and actually spending some time with people (I don't count the kids, they're my genes lol). Definitely helps to pass some time until my hatch! Tomorrow is national day in Norway and I'm planning to spend it in front of my incubator..

Apparently the chicks don't read the hatching instructions - I set 26 eggs on Apr. 26th around 2PM - I have several pipped - one is trying to zip - and the rest of the eggs are wiggling and chirping at each other - they are driving me NUTS! I have been checking the bator about every 15 minutes.

Then on top of all of that going on - I have 13 eggs set to hatch on the 30th - 6 eggs set to hatch on the 2nd of June - and the power just went OFF!! Thankfully it came back on within a minute - not sure what happened - but I hope it doesn't do that again

- I think my heart dropped all the way to my feet out of fear for my chicks. PLUS - my cochin bantam, Muffin, is brooding 6 eggs as of yesterday (this is her first time)!!

Awwwwwwwwww hello Muffin!
And my chicks are all "slow" LOL These Polish are a very fragile breed.

Dang it....................
Have the humidity up to about 57..would like it about 10 degrees higher.
The bottom (tray) is covered ,full from 7 eggs cartons so not much space available.

Think I may have messed up......................
Wondering if that is causing the problem..taking up to much space????????????
I can mist them but don't know if this will cause more problems than help....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
It is always something...............
If a few would hatch, that should run the humidity up....
Sorry, trying to think it through
