May Hatch Thread--Fill up those bators n' broodies!

So I was up and down all night watching this crazy incubator. I have 3 thermometers going. Air temp at bottom of bator is 99, on egg with a probe its 100.5 at top of bator 102.
Humidity is running 58-62. So the 2nd set of Tolbunt eggs were due to go into lockdown today. So I got them out of the turner, all air cells look PERFECT! I have great movement in each and every egg. Looks like the chicks are already absorbing some of the yolk. Got to love white eggs....lol You can see so much! My other 10 I have no idea whats going on with them. Not sure I will even get one to hatch. These eggs cost $20 a piece. I bought 12 she shipped 15. I now have 10.
My other bunts I paid $10 an egg. They sent 8 I still have 6 with perfect air cells. You would NEVER know they were shipped eggs! Hoping for a 6 of 6 hatch!
My sizzles are hard to tell but I culled 3 more clear last night. The rest are so dark it is hard to see. So I think I am down to 17 of 24.
The neighbors eggs.......HUGE brown eggs. They arent due till June. Wont TRY and candle them till next week.

Thank you to everyone for your condolences for my little lost chick. I had two more hatch with smaller protrusions from the naval but based on what I learned from the first one, I doctored them quickly and both are doing great! In the beginning of my hatch, I had one pip on the wrong end during the night and was gone before I got up. Another chick pipped below the middle of the egg yesterday. Not wanting to lose another chick, I intervened and she's doing great and full of energy this morning. I have eight energetic, seemingly healthy chicks today, day 23. :D. I also still have six eggs with no movement, pips, cheeps or anything. Based on how many times I had to open the bator yesterday, I'm not holding out a lot of hope. However, happy with the 8 I have!

Oh no!  Well, next time they won't be off now that you've calibrated them  :hugs .  Maybe June's hatch will be better...and maybe this hatch will be fine too :D .

My temps and humidity were all over the place. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

They are so cute!  Congrats on your hatch!

well you were not fibbing when you said you don't need sleep, lol how goith ye hatch ? Here on the emergency Silkie lock down I got buttkiss ! The roller quit Rollin never pipped the other six show no signs of any thing ,,, again buttkiss ,, but they are suposed to be ready at the same time as broody #2 and she still has not hatched a chick up in the hen house so I'm gonna give them another day and see what gives or see what goes up in the nest box before I pull um I don't have a accurate account on the day they were stuffed under the Silkie as I was in the states on the egg run when she went broody as for the immigrant eggs today is lock down day I have no idea how to shuffle them around between the two bators as I was not expecting this deal with the sikie eggs ,,,, rats,,, the innovator has been fantastic in lock down with numbers spot on and humidity at 65% since I pulled out the turner so I guess I just leave it in hatch mode and leave the hova with the turner and Fidel,s eggs running in incu mode I can segregate the six Silkie eggs to one corner and lock down the immagrant eggs in with them it will be crowded but I have the brooder out in the garage running and ready to go so I just have to hope it works out or dump the six emergency lock down Silkie eggs and put the turner back in the innovators and move fidel,s eggs over and use the hova to hatch crapolla !

Dang you are so worse off than me when it comes to shuffling eggs! Went to check eggs and heard peeping! No pips so I dont know who did it!!!!

:weee  Yay! peeping! It's a step in the right direction.
Well sounds like the internal pipper is alive ? Good deal ! I hope it's a wonky so you will have sucsess with at least one or two ,,, how did the airport run go ? I'm gonna pull up and head for town to finish up that breeding pen and get it out here today so it will be availible for the broody when she hatches today I hope today lol I'll check in from the shop the kids are home to keep a eye on the bator in lock down so the will text me any updates if something goes but I'm not holding out any hope talk to all you guys a lil later good luck and happy hatching ciao

. I know I need another bator but down here they are none to be had ,,,, only available up in the states so I guess I'll star looking to build one some time soon I won't by another styro but I will say I have been happy with the hova 1588 it is a good machine for the money the innovator is yet to prove it's self but has been stable so far I could have bought a gqf sportsman cabinet for what I would have in three styros ,,, go figure

Wohooooooooo Pip assist! I got the shell open and both are resting and breathing! Had I not opened a pip myself in the shell, I am sure they would have died. They were no where close to be able to pip the shell on their own! I lost 2 from my last batch because they pipped internally and died. Now to wait for them to absorb the yolk and blood!
