Mornings here, way to early. Wife woke me with alarms. Anyway I had to check it out. EVERY egg has pipped. Looks like a couple more post pip deaths. Yolk is still out on that little lady but she resting and appearing ok still. Another FF white/buff out and poofing up. As well as 2 more BA.
Only 2 eggs unpipped as of few hours ago ARE pipping now.
100% pips, 2 confirmed pip deaths.
come on lil fluffballs come see the world!

Ok so everyone keeps talking about candling during lockdown... Are you opening the lid or are the eggs in a position you can candle through the viewing panes in the lid? I have nothing going on in my hatcher, it's a little giant. Today is day 22. So how can I tell if they are still alive and internally pipped? Should I take one out and candle? Need some advise here... Lots my entire last set, don't' want to lose this one too.

Are you opening the lid or are the eggs in a position you can candle through the viewing panes in the lid?  I have nothing going on in my hatcher, it's a little giant.  Today is day 22.  So how can I tell if they are still alive and internally pipped?  Should I take one out and candle?  Need some advise here...  Lots my entire last set, don't' want to lose this one too.

No rolls or chirping? Those are 1st signs of internal pip I go by. If neither of those happening like el said what could it hurt. I'd just make it quick in case some are getting ready so you don't lose to much heat/humidity

well may has come to a close here i think i have the three iffys in the hatcher but i knew when i locked down i had four that would go ,,,, i can say that these feather legs are BIG dudes less than 20 hrs old and as big as some of the 10 day old chicks in the other brooder,,,,here are the last may fluffy butts from down on the equator,,,,,,,,, its been fun gang see ya in june

Nothing, all quiet!

I had a hatch like that, jac - real bummer - 0/24 on that one, 1/13 on the last one. Got 14 in the bator started this morning and hoping the 3rd time's a charm!! Expensive lessons, they are!!

Still another Cochin out and the yolker (maybe I'll name a darn chicken if she makes it) doing good so far. Everyone still breathing in their pip holes. Can't start June yet. I got WAY too many eggs due there already. They better get done before 12AM or its gonna mess upmy whole system

Momma is awful proud of herself, but not willing to leave the other 4 eggs. Any chance they'll still hatch?
