Looks like an Easter Egger to me. Very cute!OK, it is final, out of 42 eggs, 38 went into lockdown, and now 33 have hatched for 78.5% I am going to be satisfied to just raise breeds I can find within driving distance. Any guesses what this little beast is? He looks like a chipmunk, the only one out of the whole batch that looks remotely this way. Here is a link to the whole batch if you want to kill some time. I took a picture of every one. http://s13.photobucket.com/user/Friar_Tuck_/library/misc/ChicksHere were the eggs as they went into lockdown:

Looks like a Farm Innovators, right? I had the same problem last time, it took a really long time for my heat and humidity to go up so I over did it by accident. Try not to add too much or you'll have a steam bath going on. LolWell I am on lockdown(3 eggs). The bator is having trouble getting the temp back up. Its been a couple hrs and its just up to 97, humidity 55%. Not sure if it is the added moisture or what. This is the first time using this bator, but I dont remember mine ever taking this long to adjust. I will give it a little more time before I mess with the temp. Also all my eggs are in egg cartons. These are all shipped eggs, Polish crested, mixed colors with a Polish Frizzle Roo. There is a chance I could get some frizzles, but I just LOVE the Polish breed.
Yes it sure is. I borrowed it from my neighbor. I guess the water I added wasnt warm enough and it took it time getting the temp back up. Finally hit 99 about 25 mins ago. Humidity is 58% with both plugs in.Looks like an Easter Egger to me. Very cute!

You can use a straw through the holes to add more water to raise the humidity but you should definitely keep the plugs open. You need the oxygen exchange, very important!
that's a good looking rack of eggs !I took the plunge and bought 10 local French Black Copper Marans plus a few she called Americauna/Blue Amerilusions. I've never heard of Amerilusions before but one egg is blue, one is a very olive green and 2 are average green like my Easter Eggers lay.
I added them 2 days after my first eggs but I think they'll be alright. I'm so so excited, I've wanted these for a long time and never thought I'd find them in driving distance!
