May Hatch Thread--Fill up those bators n' broodies!

It was so weak it layed like this for hours.

But a lot of patience and sav a chick, this is Fidel/Fifi at 12 hrs old. Still a little weak, not eating or drinking much yet, but very lively. Already getting the Polish crest! It was almost 2am before I got to sleep, then woke up with and earache. I despise them as much as a toothache!!!

Yes, my hatch last night. And I had to assist. Those saddle large air cells are a killer for sure. Only 1 hatched, the other 2 pipped internally and died.
Ouch... well, I'll be able to assist on all of them though so as long as they survive until they pip I think I'll be able to pull them through... At least I hope! Keeping the humidity at 60 now throughout incubation. I hope I'll be able to get at least a few birds out of this hatch, had to import the eggs from Sweden as the breed is so rare even in Norway...

That's a real cutie! Love that crest, adorable! They're much more enjoyable out of hearing distance... Hope your earache goes down soon!

After my last candling session this is what my incubator looks like - all of these with live embryos. The pink tinted eggs to the left are from my buff orpingtons, the ones to the right are hedemora. I absolutely adore the color of the BO's eggshells, and the 5-yrold calls them barbie eggs. Lol.

OK,,,,, we have chicks broody #1 due tomorrow started last night or today its early on but there's one for sure she has 9 in her clutch i think the kids were putting every egg layed under her for a few days till i put the brakes on them hatch day for her is Saturday, but the hatchathon has begun three more broodys still working and 64 in the box pics to follow
