May Hatch Thread--Fill up those bators n' broodies!

I do not like to make someone elses decision .afraid I might be wrong.................What I have read is that it can take 24 hrs. from pip to hatch............
If it were me I would wait. Also, there is a sticky explaining when and how to help.
Going to see if I can copy the link for you..................
How is your humidity????????????????????????
About 70 %

Candle results and question

First the newbie question;
I have two eggs that I am questioning my candling results. Any idea how long I can keep them in the incubator before I risk an explosion? I would like to recandle in a few days to see if there are any changes. No odors or visible abnormalities yet.

Here are my day 7 candling results from my shipped eggs:
Lavender Orpingtons: set 3; 2 have veins, 1 has a blood ring
Light Sussex: set 6; 5 blood rings, 1 clear. 1 of these is questionable, but not too hopeful :(
Cream Legbar: set 12; 9 have veins, 3 are clears (1 clear is questionable)

So far, I am at 50% survival, better than I feared considering how roughed-up the boxes were (one had a bashed-in corner and a broken egg), but of course we are only 1/3 of the way there. All of the air cells were detached on arrival, and even after settling for 24 hours then no turning for the first 5 days, most are still pretty mobile, or saddles. In fact, of the 11 surviving eggs, only 3 have "normal" air cells. I am bummed that I won't be getting any Light Sussex from this set. Sigh. At least I was well prepared for the shipped egg blues by reading this site!

Dang,
Now I cannot find that thread.grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Hope someone else comes on soon that can guide you...
Good Luck.

Thanks! I used really warm water and sprayed very quickly. The humidity only went up a to 49% though. Since then though, I've had 3 pips and they're cheeping! The pip holes are VERY small though - almost like a crack. It's been almost 3 hours since the first pip...very hard not to stand and watch.

Question: Now that I have pips, do I still need to spray them or will opening the bator now cause them to be shrink wrapped?

Open only if necessary and mist each time!

LOL I just visited my hatching room, candled the ones in my other bator. I also had a discussion with my eggs, no response! Hatch day is tomorrow....hopefully we will be driving each other crazy!

Out of my 24 sizzle eggs I have 12 confirmed fertile, 7 unknown shell is dark and pourous, 5 clear that I pitched. The 6 Tolbunts in with them are doing wonderful! Nice movement, good air cells, hatch day Tuesday!
My ones on lockdown are being very quiet. Hatch day tomorrow.
