Candle results and question
First the newbie question;
I have two eggs that I am questioning my candling results. Any idea how long I can keep them in the incubator before I risk an explosion? I would like to recandle in a few days to see if there are any changes. No odors or visible abnormalities yet.
Here are my day 7 candling results from my shipped eggs:
Lavender Orpingtons: set 3; 2 have veins, 1 has a blood ring
Light Sussex: set 6; 5 blood rings, 1 clear. 1 of these is questionable, but not too hopeful

Cream Legbar: set 12; 9 have veins, 3 are clears (1 clear is questionable)
So far, I am at 50% survival, better than I feared considering how roughed-up the boxes were (one had a bashed-in corner and a broken egg), but of course we are only 1/3 of the way there. All of the air cells were detached on arrival, and even after settling for 24 hours then no turning for the first 5 days, most are still pretty mobile, or saddles. In fact, of the 11 surviving eggs, only 3 have "normal" air cells. I am bummed that I won't be getting any Light Sussex from this set. Sigh. At least I was well prepared for the shipped egg blues by reading this site!
