I had one of my RIR babies hatch. Out of 30! And that was assisted! I have another that I assisted, but am still waiting for it to come around, not sure if it will. These air sacs were ridiculous! Saddle air sacs. Some up one side, some up both. Not much room for a baby to turn and zip. They suffocate if not assisted early. I only had 4 go into lock down. Two were already gone by the time I decided to go in. Darn. Not much room in those eggs at all for the babies. At least I have this one, and, the guy sent me 30 more eggs. Free of charge! They are looking so much better! I think I'm going to have a lot of RIR babies! And, it is going to be so nice to not have to assist.
My bantam Favorelle is supposed to go into lock down tomorrow with the eggs I put under her. I also have some in the bator from the same batch. They will go into lock down, and they should do well..again, will be so nice to not have to assist! They came from a near by town and in a car. Nice air sacs!
So, I think it will be a June hatch I will have with them, unless some decide to hatch a day early. Possible, some are bantam eggs. May go into the June hatch a long? :d
